A baby’s first steps are seen as one of the most important milestones in their small career as a human. As a parent, I have only had the opportunity to witness this momentous occasion happen with my boy. To be honest, I’m kind of used to missing all of the big ‘firsts’ with our children due to being at work during the day which sucks- BIG TIME.
What if we didn’t only see events such as a baby’s first steps as a huge milestone? What if we took each and every little action, thought, and emotion that happens throughout the day and celebrate them as well?
I know that for some taking those steps is physically impossible and I’m not here to leave anyone out of this. When I say “first steps” I’m not talking about physical steps, I’m talking about the first ACTION someone is taking in their day. I’m also talking about extending this mindset past small children and applying it throughout our lifetime.
I can choose to wake up everyday and find something to either be pissed off about OR i could do the opposite and find EVERYTHING to be excited and happy about. Our first thoughts of the day can be some of the most impactful ones.
I challenge everyone to wake up and see the good; even if life seems so fucking dark and not worth it, YOU’RE WORTH IT! Everyone deserves to wake up and feel amazing about themselves.
Here’s to the first steps of the day.
